Choir News

Last updated 9th of August 2018.

Welcome to a new frontline team at Corby Male Voice Choir.

Following the retirement of Andrew Torbell at the end of 2017, both from the choir and from his role of Musical Director, we welcome the appointment of Mrs Jan Williams into the role of Director of Music. Her move within the choir triggered the search for a replacement Accompanist and we are fortunate to have found and appointed Mrs Kate Bidwell to that role - see the officers page.

Our current list of concerts for 2018 can be found on the Engagements page. It shows that, at the moment, we only have one Friday date available for booking. So please take the opportunity to book the choir to sing at your venue in 2019 to help you raise funds for your charitable event. Please contact the Concert Secretary - see the officers page for contact details.

Our Publicity Officer now publishes regular Press Releases, the latest of which can be viewed by clicking here

Earlier Press Releases may be found on the Bits & Pieces page.

If you wish to give us feedback about any of our performances, please send an e-mail to the Choir Secretary - see the officers page for contact details.

You can now follow the choir's current activities on facebook.

Welcome

Welcome to the web-site of The Corby Male Voice Choir.

We hope that you can find here useful information about us.

Our choir enjoys singing and, by doing so, helps charitable organisations raise money for their cause. Details of our next concert are shown in the "Choir News" panel on the right.

If a concert like this would help you, please get in touch with our Concert Secretary to check our availability – see the contact details on the officers page.

As you can see from our Engagements page, we still have a few Friday dates available for booking. So please take the opportunity to book the choir to sing at your venue in 2018.

On the other hand, if you would like to sing with us, please see the information on the Join Us page.

The photo below shows most of the choir in their new summer uniform, taken by Andy Gillard in Ketton Park following the burial of our First Tenor Howie Evans who most certainly will be greatly missed by all in the choir.
